Lasting only four and a half minutes, The Reunion is a fleeting story of first love and family. A man brings his new wife, Danielle to his mother’s house for the holiday. Obvious tensions arise as the man’s mother tells him that his brother, Max will be joining them that night for Christmas dinner. The two brothers have not seen each other in years and clearly have some preexisting resentment towards one another. We see the husband complaining about this with his wife, and he is not the only one uneased by the unsuspected visitor. This announcement causes the woman, Danielle to look back on past memories when she was with none other than her husband’s brother, Max. The audience is left to use their imagination as to what happened between this couple, and the husband finally realizes his wife and his brother have already known each other for several years.
